Jeannette Kartchner

Jeannette Kartchner is a lecturer for the Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and the Associate Undergraduate Program Director for Computer Science for UMBC-Shady Grove. She received her Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California. She designed and implemented systems for classified projects as an aerospace software engineer with McDonnell Douglas and was the Principal Investigator for research and development of an automated military communication parsing system. She has over 25 years of collegiate teaching in Computer Science, Information Science and Mathematics. 20 of those years were at Montgomery College, in Montgomery County Maryland, where she also served as the Computer Science Department chair for several years.
