Dr. Tamra Mendelson

 Dr. Tamra Mendelson is a Professor and Associate Chair of Biological Sciences. She is funded by the National Science Foundation to study the role of animal communication in the origin of species as well as the design of animal sexual ornaments. She is on the executive committee of the Animal Behavior Society and a member of the Society for the Study of Evolution and Sigma Xi. She is an Associate Editor for the Proceedings of the Royal Society-Biological Sciences, and she has mentored many graduate and undergraduate students and a postdoctoral fellow in her lab.
